The Bunaken Oasis Resort is our latest offering in Indonesia and is luxury at its best.

Bunaken Oasis redefines diving in Bunaken.  Positioned very much at the luxury end of the spectrum, the aim is to provide a 5-star experience whilst keeping the ecological footprint to a minimum.

The resort offers 12 large, traditionally-built villas, including one family villa with two bedrooms, and one villa near the Long House for those who may have difficulty walking.

A major focal point of the resort is a free form infinity pool, with sun-loungers and easy access to the bar, for those who want to spend time above, rather than below, the water.

In addition to a chill-out cocktail bar and a full-service restaurant serving Indonesian and international cuisine, guest amenities also include an air conditioned library, a fully-equipped classroom in the Dive Centre with 4k flat-screen TV, especially useful for photographic groups, and a spacious camera room with more charging points than you will ever need.

The Bunaken Marine National Park is a protected, though fragile, environment, and we are committed to taking our eco-responsibilities very seriously.  Using our own bore holes, or even sea-water, with water makers and ultraviolet treatment, we have ensured that all the water in the resort is fully drinkable, and we can avoid the need for one of the greatest pollutants of our time - plastic bottles.  In addition, all waste water will be processed through a water-treatment plant. Diving is from one of our brand-new, purpose-built dive boats (1 x 17 metre fibreglass catamaran, 3 x 14 metre and 2 x 16 metre traditional wooden boats ). All of the boats provide freshwater deck showers, catering facilities, flushing WCs, and excellent facilities for photographers. However, the resort is most proud of is the space you’ll enjoy on board.

Oasis Explorers is a newly-launched technical training facility located at Bunaken Oasis Dive Resort and Spa in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The facility is the first in Bunaken Marine Park to offer multi-agency technical training, trimix and CCR compatibility, and a vastness of unexplored deep dive sites, all in the setting of an award-winning luxury dive resort. Expect a state-of-the-art filling station, specialised equipment, experienced surface support and expert advisors.

Playa Escondida Resort - Sayulita, Mexico

Sayulita is a small town located about 40 km north of Puerto Vallarta in the mexican state of Nayarit. And we are pleased to be booking the Playa Escondida Resort. This spectacular destination is a secluded resort nestled in the hillside on a beautiful sand cove beach, and backed by Bird Canyon. The resort offers 29 unique rooms with beach view, ocean front, garden view, and Bird Canyon view accommodations.

Sayulita - a small town with a very special feel to it. The air is full of beach life, and the streets are full of people enjoying it. Street venders with their colorful wares, shops with their doors open to invite browsing and evening crowds of gringos and locals alike around the central plaza all give life to this village. Black Sand Dive Retreat 

We are now booking this amazing resort in North Sulawesi, Lembeh Strait, Indonesia. Packages include cottage accommodations, meals, boat dives, unlimited shore dives on the house reef, free wi-fi, morning and afternoon snacks. Black Sand Dive Retreat is a small six-bungalow quality dive resort located on a sheltered bay in a natural setting on Lembeh Strait, Indonesia’s Exotic Critter Capital. We specialize in personalized service both above and below the water, offering an exceptional dive holiday experience for our discerning guests.

The Resort: Each of our six coconut-wood bungalows offers excellent views over Kambahu Bay and Lembeh Strait and is equipped with both a/c and a ceiling fan for your comfort, with complimentary drinking water, coffee and tea close at hand. Each unit also has a walk-in closet to keep your bags and belongings organized and out of the way as well as a walled open-air “Bali-style” garden bathroom with a hot water shower to help reheat you after long repetitive dives. Our guides and GM have thousands of dives logged in the strait, which means that we know about and can find those special critters you desire. Nitrox is available and our spacious Dive Center has a dedicated camera room with individual charging stations. Right off our fine black sand beach is our spectacular House Reef, offering shallow, calm and current-free conditions on one of Lembeh’s very best sites. Open day and night, our guests commonly find marquee critters such as wonderpus, veined octopus, a number of frogfish species including the famed hairy frogfish, sea horses, devilfish, bobtail squid, bubble shells, monkeyfish, stargazers, stonefish, and numerous varieties of ghost pipefish, stingfish and waspfish, along with much more.

It goes without saying, we LOVE the Caymans. The people are friendly, the food is good, the dive sites are in excellent condition, the resorts and dive operations are first class, and the islands are easily accessed from the US. Our favourite airlines is Cayman Airways because they LOVE divers and two bags are still free. Get you gear to the Caymans with no hassles.

We are writing this blog entry from our patio at Cobalt Coast Resort in Grand Cayman. The owner, Arie Barendrecht, and his staff have made us feel like we have arrived back home from the moment we arrived. And the Divetech staff is always ready to help in any manner. And they offer full service rebreather and tech-diving equipment rental and classes.

Then Minpi Indha Eco-Resort is your destination. Mimpi Indah resort is a boutique style Eco dive resort located on the Island Bangka, just off the coast of the most Northern tip of Sulawesi, Indonesia. This is the ideal location for people who want to dive one of the most beautiful locations on the earth. 

Staying at Mimpi Indah resort means a stay in one of our spacious bungalows with big veranda. And all bungalows are standing very close to the sea, so from each veranda you have a wonderful view of the ocean. Each bungalow has its own private bathroom with shower, sink and European style toilet. 

The restaurant is build in Toraja style, using bamboo with a separate beach side terrace. The restaurant is more than just a place to eat. It’s a place to relax, have a drink, and talk about all the amazing critters you encountered that day. And if you like to share your underwater pictures or video, you can do that on a big screen. The restaurant serves a combination of traditional Indonesian and European dishes, which are prepared with ingredients from the organic garden. And for a special meal, why not have a barbeque out on the terrace.

The dive center is also built from bamboo and offers plenty of space for divers and their gear. It has a class room with library where you can find all the information you might need for any one of the dive courses offered. Also available are fish identification books and dive magazines, so you won't have to be bored once you're out of the water. The diving center also has an equipment room for storage of all the equipment and an area for maintenance. It has a separate compressor room which has sound isolation so you don’t hear the noise of the compressor anywhere on the resort.

We build packages for this resort based on our client's requests. Typical 7 night package with full board meals is $470 USD per person. Add a 12-dive boat dive package for $460 USD or an 18-dive boat dive package for $670 USD. Contact us for your individual package.
