The Sachika, a remarkable vessel designed for luxury and adventure, invites you to embark on an unforgettable journey through the enchanting waters of the Maldives. With its comfortable cabins and top-notch amenities, the Sachika promises a dive experience like no other. Built in 2007, Sachika is a non-diver-friendly liveaboard based in the Maldives. The liveaboard operates year-round, but diving is ideal from November to May. Accommodating up to 20 guests across ten cabins, Sachika has two cabin styles: standard rooms with twin beds and four standard rooms that can be booked with double or twin beds. On the lower deck is one junior suite with a double bed, and three suites on the upper deck with large windows and ocean view. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning, towels, hairdryers, and toiletries.
Step into your cozy cabin, where comfort and tranquility await. Whether you prefer a double or twin configuration, each cabin is thoughtfully designed to ensure your utmost relaxation. For those traveling with a companion, the option of a third bed is available upon request. The junior suite offers a spacious retreat with a large, inviting bed, providing all the comforts you desire. The bathrooms in every cabin are wide, comfortable, and equipped with a generously sized shower box, allowing you to refresh after a day of thrilling underwater explorations. Indulge in culinary delights at the ship's restaurant, where delectable meals are served amidst a charming ambiance. From tantalizing seafood dishes to international flavors, the talented chefs onboard are dedicated to satisfying your palate. Gather at the briefing area, where the knowledgeable staff will guide you through the upcoming dive adventures, ensuring you make the most of your underwater encounters.
Unwind and socialize at the Lounge bar, where an open-air ocean view awaits. Sip on carefully crafted cocktails, mocktails, and an impressive selection of worldwide spirits. Let the fine selection of wines transport you to a world of refined tastes. Feel the gentle ocean breeze on your skin as you enjoy the company of fellow divers, sharing stories and creating lifelong memories. For the ultimate relaxation, indulge in the jacuzzi located on the ship's stern. Immerse yourself in the soothing waters while surrounded by the breathtaking panorama of paradise. On the sundeck, find solace after a thrilling dive session or simply revel in the mesmerizing views. Sip on a refreshing cocktail expertly prepared by our skilled barman and let the serenity of the surroundings wash over you.
The Sachika boasts a 60-foot diving dhoni, specially designed to accommodate 25 to 30 divers for seamless and effortless operations. With a crew of experienced members and knowledgeable dive guides, you can trust that every aspect of your diving journey is taken care of. Before and after each dive, the dedicated team will provide you with unwavering support, ensuring your safety and enhancing your overall diving experience. Dive itineraries are selected dependent upon weather and currents, so trips are planned by the seasons. The Best of the Central Atolls offers excellent diving year-round with amazing reefs to explore. The Manta Madness route offers excellent encounters with these gentle giants with August to October the best manta season. The Wild Deep South and Southern Borders are routes for those divers who love the pelagic critters including tiger sharks, hammerhead sharks, and amazing drift dives. The Gates of the Ocean is an off-chart route sailed during the high season that offers vibrant reefs, pinnacles and channels, and night dive with sharks. Prepare to be captivated by the wonders of the Maldivian waters as you dive into a world of vibrant marine life and awe-inspiring underwater landscapes. The Sachika, with its luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and exceptional diving facilities, offers the perfect blend of comfort and adventure. Let the beauty of the Maldives surround you as you embark on a journey that will leave you with cherished memories and a deep appreciation for the wonders of the ocean. Sachika primarily visits central and deep south atolls, including the Male Atolls, Rasdhoo, Meemu, and Ari Atolls. Guests dive along colorful walls and reefs while spotting reef sharks, manta rays, napoleon wrasses, and the occasional whale shark.
Our dedicated team is eager to assist you in creating a personalized itinerary that caters to your preferences and ensures a truly unforgettable dive adventure. Dive Conditions

The conditions are generally good all the year around Maldives. Air temperature is 26°C to 32°C year-round. The average water temperature ranges from 27°C to 30°C year-round. Divers can expect visibility from 15m to 40m depending on the season and location. The visibility is not as good during the rainy season, May to August. Currents depend a lot on tide and location, and ranges from none in the lagoon to very strong in the channels. Dive depths range from 5m to 40m. The coral reefs are shallow and most of the dive sites are between 10 and 20 meters deep.
Due to the medium to strong currents, drift dives are common. Often divers have to do a negative entry, which means the moment you enter the water, you must descend to the bottom. The Maldives is recommended for the intermediate level or experienced diver. Because of the depths and currents, dives in the Maldives are usually 45 - 50 minutes for many divers. There are many dives sites which are suitable for novice divers as well which are protected from the currents, and novice divers can do drift dives on the long reefs not affected by tricky currents.
