Barra Lodge Beach Resort is the definition of an African paradise. Located five hundred kilometers north of Maputo, guests will find themselves surrounded by the warm ocean, and will let the crashing waves on the shore lull them to sleep.

The resort offers two, four, and six-bed rooms to accommodate any group of guests. The two-bed unit is one bedroom with a panoramic view of the sparkling ocean. There are two single beds and both have mosquito nets. The four-bed unit has two bedrooms and also has a panoramic view of the ocean. There is one king sized bed and two single beds, all with mosquito nets. The six-bed unit has three bedrooms and features one king bed and four single beds. All beds have mosquito nets. All rooms have a bathroom with a wash basin, toilet, and shower. The two and four-bed units have one bathroom while the six-bed unit has two bathrooms. There is a kitchenette and a covered wooden deck that overlooks the sea for all units. The minimum number of nights guests can book is two.

Travellers enjoy local African cuisine from a plethora of restaurants or use the kitchenette to cook with local ingredients. A wide variety of foods are available at the local markets, and it’s a great way to immerse into the culture. There is no dive shop at the lodge, but dives are arranged with local scuba operators who are intimately familiar with the Barra reef and all of its amazing marine critters.
