Cocos Hotel Antigua WEATHER
The resort offers five cottages: the sunset pool cottage, beachfront pool cottage, sunset view cottage, premium view cottage, and standard view cottage. All accommodation features AC, private balconies, outdoor showers, safes, hairdryers, irons, free wi-fi, and a mini-fridge. Packages include accommodation, all meals, alcoholic beverages, entertainment, and yoga sessions. Cottages do NOT include televisions. Rates are seasonal and are priced per cottage for a couple, not per person. Low season is July - September, high season is late December - March, and there are two shoulder seasons.
Cades Reef is a popular stop on dive excursions from Cocos Hotel. The reef is home to multiple dive sites with soft coral and colorful marine life. Divided into two sections, the outer area where divers and snorkelers can swim freely, and the protected inner area with rich marine life, there is much to see in Antigua’s waters. Marine life at this site usually consists of barracuda, eels, lobsters, eagle rays, nurse sharks, and reef sharks. Guests can also snorkel at Stingray City or sail to a deserted island. There are several dive shops in the Jolly Harbor area on the west coast of the island, including Indigo Divers and Dive Carib.
Shopping at Heritage Quay and Redcliff Quay in the capital for souvenirs, local art, designer clothing, and more is a popular option among visitors. Exploring the island by hiking through Boggy Peak is also a popular option that can be done in about an hour. Once reaching the highest point on Antigua, guests can overlook neighboring islands such as Montserrat and St. Kitts. Guests can travel to the nearby Jolly Harbor Complex with an 18-hole golf course, tennis facility, a marina, shops, restaurants, bars, and casinos.
The resort is located on a headland, so it is common for guests to walk up and down hills during their stay, depending on where their accommodation is placed. For guests who have health or mobility issues, the resort recommends their sister resort, Keyonna Beach Resort, instead. This resort offers a near-identical experience but is located on flat beachfront terrain.
