Playa Escondida WEATHER
There are over thirty room types, each of unique architectural design and furnishings offering a perfect option for any guest. From families to friends to honeymooners, there is a room suited for any traveler. Each room has a mini-safe for valuables. WiFi is available in the restaurant, the Teraza area, the Beach Bar, the Bird Canyon rooms, and the Beachfront and Oceanview rooms. Cell phones usually work in the pool-spa area and the Luna and Sol decks depending on the cell carrier. However, telephones are available at Guest Services for a fee.
The private beach is on a cove with wild shore break waves, but past the surf the ocean is calm for swimming. The ocean is also a haven for surfers and paddle boarders especially at the beach in Sayulita town. The Punta Mita beach has slow peeling surf breaks that are great for novices learning how to surf and more intense areas for skilled surfers. For those new to surfing, instructors provide classes in town. For those who love nature and wildlife, there are seasonal baby turtle releases and it is amazing to watch then scurry across the sand as they make their first journey to the ocean.
Just a ten-minute drive from the resort is an 18-hole golf course built on the green rolling hills. Guests can enjoy hiking, biking, or horseback riding in the coastal jungle surrounded by parrots and butterflies living in the lush green scenery.
